Patricio Palacios Benitez

I'm DVM Patricio Dandy Palacios graduated with honours as a veterinarian at the University of Asuncion, Paraguay, in 2019. Since then, I embarked on a multifaceted journey gaining valuable experience in various aspects of veterinary medicine. On one hand, refined my skills in small animal clinics, surgery, and laboratory diagnosis. While on the other hand, I've explored the realm of wildlife conservation and research at the Gran Chaco in South America, focusing efforts on studying species like the Tapirus Terrestris and the three extant peccaries. My passion for laboratory practices took me further as volunteer in hospitals for Covid-19 diagnosis during the global pandemic, gaining experience in molecular biology. At the beginning of 2022, I embarked on a specialized degree in Higher University Teaching for Veterinary and Biological Sciences at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Subsequently, I recently finished my Master of Animal Science majoring in Wildlife Biology at the University of Queensland, Australia. While continuing research at the Gran Chaco and at the The University of Queensland, I'm aspiring to pursue a PhD in reproductive biotechnologies, aiming to contribute to the preservation and conservation of endangered and domestic species. Finally, I envision a career as a researcher and lecturer, filled with dedication, innovation, and commitment to the well-being of animals and the delicate balance between animals, humans and nature
