Ceilidh Jenkins

Ceilidh graduated from Massey University, NZ in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Genetics and Animal Science. Since graduating, she has been a laboratory technical officer at the Equine Genetics Research Centre in Scone and has a particular research interest in the genetics of performance and fertility traits in horses. This lead to embarking on a part-time Master of Philosophy project under Dr Zamira Gibb at the University of Newcastle in 2022 where her research focuses on the effect of age related oxidative DNA damage on fertility and progeny performance in the equine species.
