Nick Tran

Nick Tran is a fourth-year undergraduate student of a Bachelor’s of Psychology and Bachelor’s of Cognitive and Brain Sciences at Macquarie University. He has been working as a research assistant and recently an intern in Professor Tuan Van Nguyen’s Osteoporosis Lab at the University of Technology Sydney since February 2023. Nick is involved in multiple research projects related to novel risk communication tools, e.g., fragility index for the fragility of evidence for anti-fracture medications or skeletal age for post-fracture mortality associated with cigarette smoking. Additionally, he is also working on projects that aim to quantify the contribution of lifestyle factors on fracture and post-fracture mortality risk, and employ deep learning to improve fracture risk assessment.
