Sunita De Sousa

Associate Professor Sunita De Sousa is Deputy Director of Endocrinology and Senior Staff Specialist in Clinical Genetics at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and a Clinical Academic at the University of Adelaide. She completed her PhD on prolactinomas in 2020, receiving the University of Adelaide Doctoral Research Medal. Her ongoing areas of research include pituitary tumours, multiple endocrine neoplasia and monogenic diabetes. She recently co-chaired the ANZ guidelines on genetic testing for monogenic diabetes and is now chairing the International Pituitary Society Genetics Guidelines Working Group. To support the emerging subspecialty of endocrine genetics, Sunita founded the EndoGen National Endocrine Genetics Network including a regular national MDT meeting. She is the current Secretary of the Endocrine Society of Australia.
