Kylie A Alexander
Kylie completed her PhD at The University of Queensland and joined the Stem Cell Biology Research Group at Mater Research in 2016. Her research focuses on neurogenic heterotopic ossification (NHO), a debilitating condition that causes abnormal bone growth around joints following spinal cord injury. She investigates how neuroendocrine and immune signaling pathways regulate muscle stem cell fate during NHO development, with the goal of identifying new strategies to prevent and treat this condition.
